Events

I can come to your writers’ group and talk about creative writing, how I got started, about my books for children and my writing for adults.

I can compere ceremonies and speak at events such as The Grampian Children’s Book Awards which I was Master of Ceremonies at last year. This involved introducing famous authors and their books, reading extracts from books for the authors who couldn’t be present, and even calling out the raffle.

I can speak to groups about my work as an Animal Behaviourist too.

The sorts of events I have done;-
I have run creative writing workshops for young people, at the Word Festival 2010.

I have talked to motivational groups about how I came to be a writer.

I have talked to adult writing groups about my writing and books, and about creative writing.

I have been on the radio talking about my writing and about my animal behaviour work.

I ran evening classes in Animal Welfare for Aberdeen University.

I have talked to dozens of adult groups such as Probus, the Rotary Club, Veterinarian Societies, dog trainers, etc. on my work as an animal behaviourist.

I have spoken to groups about the work of The Riding for the Disabled  – I am a Trustee of the local group.

I have spoken at courses for the State Veterinary Association, on Animal Welfare.
